Who We’re Looking For:
As a key member of the R&D team, the Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the full lifecycle of designing, developing, modifying, testing, debugging, and supporting new and existing Laborie software as well as integrating the software into Laborie medical devices. Working independently under limited supervision, performing highly complex and specialized software project activities. Can function as a leader on project teams and may oversee other engineers. Applying engineering and scientific principles to the evaluation and solution of technical problems in a creative manner unique to each project.
About the Role:
Responsible for design and implementation of system software, from concept phase through design transfer / product launch. Act as a mentor for new or lower-level software Engineers, as well as for all the members of the development team. Train junior software engineers. Assist in the collection and documentation of user requirements, software development plans, software development time estimates, and resource efforts. Integrate and support communication between different software development teams, projects, system engineering, Operations/Mfg., and the larger R&D team.
