Schedule: Monday–Friday | 9/80A | 6:00 AM–3:30 PM
Compensation: $70.00–$120.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)
A Day in the Mission
Start your morning collaborating with systems and integration engineers to scope new capabilities for a military aircraft upgrade. Before lunch, translate high-level system needs into precise, testable software requirements. After a quick sync with test and V&V, you roll into hands-on embedded coding, static analysis, and hardware-in-the-loop runs to validate behavior against stringent performance and safety targets. You close the day by documenting traceability and preparing for tomorrow’s integration in the lab.
What You'll Own
End-to-end embedded avionics software engineering: analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate within real-time environments. Refine and document embedded software environment requirements for military aircraft upgrade programs. Derive software requirements from system specifications and create associated verification tests. Coordinate requirements with internal teams, suppliers, and customer stakeholders. Plan and support software integration to meet program milestones and customer criteria. Partner across engineering disciplines to satisfy critical performance parameters. Contribute to requirements development, verification, preliminary design, and detailed design reviews. Recommend enhancements and future capabilities to elevate integrated weapon system performance.
