Overview The ArcGIS Spatial Analyst team develops advanced raster analysis capabilities used by organizations worldwide to understand patterns, solve spatial problems, and make better decisions. As a C++ Software Developer, you will contribute to the design and development of next-generation raster analytics that power ArcGIS across desktop and cloud environments. Responsibilities Transform cutting-edge research and advanced concepts into high-performance, scalable analytical tools across key GIS domains, including: Spatial modeling and suitability analysis Terrain and surface analysis (such as intervisibility, geomorphometric) Pattern and density analysis Statistical analysis Hydrologic analysis Multidimensional scientific data modeling and analysis Partner with a collaborative team to conceptualize, design, and deliver innovative GIS solutions that address complex real-world challenges Architect and implement robust software components using industry-standard design principles and best practices Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks through automated testing and optimization Requirements 2+ years of demonstrated experience in C++ software development Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns Excellent problem-solving, design, development, and debugging skills Familiarity with distributed systems, parallel processing, and GPU-accelerated computing Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field Recommended Qualifications Experience with C and WPF application development Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and test-driven development (TDD) practices Experience with GIS, …tru…
