The research industry is massive (>$140B and growing) and ripe for disruption. Incumbents are outdated, slow, and burdened by high-cost services. That's our opportunity. Outset is backed by top Silicon Valley investors and raised a $30M Series B in December 2025—less than six months after our Series A—led by Radical Ventures with participation from M12 (Microsoft’s venture arm), 8VC, Y Combinator, and Adverb Ventures. The raise follows a breakout year, with our business growing 8x as enterprise customers across industries adopt our category, AI‑moderated research, as the new standard for understanding people. We’re a tight-knit team serving some of the world’s largest enterprises. You’ll own product initiatives from strategy and discovery through launch and measurable customer impact. The challenge is to make complex research workflows intuitive and help customers trust and act on AI-generated results, balancing speed, usability, and research quality. This is a hands-on individual contributor role on the Core Product team, working with engineering and design, the Core Product lead, Sales, and Customer Success. Responsibilities - Set direction and make tradeoffs. Balance immediate needs with longer-term goals. Connect customer problems to business impact, prioritizing work that improves adoption, retention, and expansion. - Start with customer evidence. Use customer interviews, product usage, and Sales and Customer Success feedback to identify the problems worth solving. - Build with engineering and design. Shape solutions, test assumptions, clarify requirements, and resolve open questions. - Own product quality.
