About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and
high-performance backend services. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring
Boot, RESTful APIs, databases, and microservices. You will work closely with product managers, frontend
engineers, QA, and other technical stakeholders to deliver reliable backend solutions from development and testing
through production deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain backend services and applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Build, integrate, document, and optimize RESTful APIs and backend integrations.
Design and implement scalable services using microservices architecture where appropriate.
Develop efficient data-access layers and write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries.
Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modelling, indexing, and query performance.
Write clean, maintainable, reusable, secure, and testable production code.
Apply appropriate error handling, logging, validation, and security practices.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, defects, and production issues.
Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
Use Git and follow branching, version-control, and collaborative development practices.
Work with CI/CD pipelines, application deployments, and production environments.
Collaborate with frontend engineers, QA, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver features.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Take ownership of backend features throughout the development lifecycle, from design to deployment.
