Job Description
OMV America LLC is seeking a qualified Software Engineer to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of software applications and digital systems. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to develop reliable software solutions that support business operations and technical objectives.
In this role, you will collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical software solutions, improve application performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain high standards for software quality, security, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and system components. Write efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following established engineering standards. Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into software solutions. Develop and integrate APIs, databases, and internal application services. Troubleshoot software defects and resolve application performance issues. Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices. Create and maintain unit tests and support integration testing. Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders on technical projects. Maintain technical documentation and communicate project progress. Identify opportunities to improve application reliability, scalability, and security. Support software releases, deployment activities, and ongoing maintenance.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, C, C++, or JavaScript. Understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms. Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, APIs, and version control tools such as Git.
