The candidate must be able to identify whether issues are caused by inverter software, firmware, controls logic, hardware, design limitations, or site-level power system conditions. The role also owns retrofit execution tracking, including affected assets, deployment status, validation results, risks, and closure using Excel, Smartsheet, or similar tools.What You’ll Be Doing as a Senior Performance Controls EngineerPrioritize, investigate, and drive corrective actions for inverter-related performance issues across operating BESS projects. Perform root cause analysis using operational data, first principles, site evidence, and technical review to distinguish software, firmware, controls, hardware, design, and power system issues. Maintain vendor issue logs covering status, root cause, corrective action, validation, and closure.
