Our work depends on a Scala Back-End Developer remotely joining our team to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) activities. Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this role.
As a Scala Back-End Developer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of CMS. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated server-side applications using Scala and related technologies. Your primary responsibilities will include creating robust and scalable APIs, ensuring efficient data processing, and implementing business logic. In this role, a typical day may include:
Utilizing your skills in Scala and Java programming language, functional programming paradigms, and RESTful API design and development to deliver high-performance backend solutions. Creating robust and scalable APIs, ensuring efficient data processing, and implementing complex business logic. Support distributed systems, version control with Git, build tools like Maven, and demonstrate your experience with SQL databases.
