As an Associate Software Engineer at Optum, you will be part of an innovative engineering team building key healthcare portal features for claims and insurance processing. You will work across the full software development lifecycle using Java 11/17/21, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to build resilient backend services and enhance web applications. In this role, you will also leverage enterprise-approved AI development tools and automation solutions to optimize application performance, streamline software delivery, and drive continuous engineering excellence.

Primary Responsibilities:
Build healthcare portal features for claims and insurance processing Develop Java backend services and RESTful API integrations using Java 11/17/21, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL Improve application performance, system responsiveness, and page load times across full-stack platforms Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, code reviews, and Agile software delivery Monitor, troubleshoot, and diagnose production application health using Splunk Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions and automations to address complex technical challenges with an emphasis on responsible AI practices Leverage enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline devel ……
