MobilesX is a consumer technology platform focused on smartphones, gadgets, product comparisons, price tracking, and technology news. We are looking for a motivated Software Development Engineer I to build scalable, reliable, and user-friendly web applications.
Role Overview
As an SDE 1, you will work with the engineering team to design, develop, test, and maintain product features across the frontend and backend. You will contribute to real-world product development, improve application performance, and write clean, maintainable code.
Key Responsibilities
Develop responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using React.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Tailwind CSS. Build and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js. Design, query, and optimize relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code. Debug issues, fix bugs, and improve application performance and reliability. Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver new features. Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and software testing. Work with Git, GitHub, and deployment tools to manage development and releases. Follow software engineering best practices for security, scalability, and performance.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong fundamentals in JavaScript, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming. Working knowledge of React.js and component-based development. Basic experience with Node.js, Express.js, and REST APIs. Familiarity with SQL databases and database design fundamentals. Understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and browser fundamentals. Knowledge of Git and collaborative software development workflows. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
