Job Description: Android Developer
Company: PurpleBits / PurpleDocs Location: Vadodara, Gujarat Experience: 3–6 years (flexible for the right candidate)
About the Role
We are looking for an Android Developer who loves building, not just coding.
At PurpleDocs, we build healthcare technology that handles highly sensitive patient information. Our applications must be secure, reliable, responsive, and intuitive. Poorly optimized code or a small bug can affect hospital workflows and critical patient records.
We are not looking for someone who simply picks up an existing module, copies a code pattern, and makes it work. We want a creator—someone who understands problems, designs solutions, builds features, investigates issues, and continuously improves the product.
Key Responsibilities
Feature Development: Design and build Android features from requirements, with attention to usability, maintainability, and reliability. Problem Solving: Investigate complex bugs, identify root causes, and implement permanent fixes. Performance Optimization: Optimize execution, memory usage, rendering, network calls, and application responsiveness. Data Security: Implement secure authentication, session handling, local data storage, and API communication. Reliability: Handle network failures, concurrent operations, application lifecycle changes, and interrupted workflows without data loss or corruption. Code Quality: Write clean, modular, testable code; review existing implementations and reduce technical debt. Ownership: Take responsibility for features from design and development through testing, deployment, and production support. Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, backend developers, and implementation teams to solve real hospital workflow challenges.
