Summary
Design, develop, and support modern web applications and integrations while working closely with business stakeholders to understand problems, clarify requirements, and determine the right technical approach. This role requires strong development skills using React, Node.js, Express, SQL databases, REST APIs, and related platforms, along with the ability to analyze workflows, challenge assumptions, and guide solutions toward practical business outcomes. The position may also support a number of legacy C applications as needed, while helping move the environment toward the modern web stack over time. As development tools and practices continue to evolve, success in this position will depend on sound technical judgment, strong business analysis skills, and the ability to validate that solutions are correct, maintainable, and useful.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Responsible to follow all safety procedures as required by the role, and to nurture a food safety culture by adhering to all Safe Quality Foods requirements.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support web applications, integrations, and related business systems.
Analyze business workflows, stakeholder needs, and operational pain points to determine practical technical solutions.
Translate business problems into clear requirements, solution concepts, user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation guidance.
Develop and maintain solutions using React, Node.js, Express, SQL databases, REST APIs, Git, and related development tools.
Use appropriate development tools and research methods to support efficient, high-quality delivery while personally validating technical quality and business fit.
