Role Description The Software Engineer Intern role at Goldenhive Holidays is a part-time remote position. The intern will assist in developing and maintaining internal tools and web applications that support trip planning, booking workflows, and customer communication. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean, testable code, implementing back-end features, debugging issues, and collaborating with senior engineers to enhance system performance and reliability. The intern will also participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and help integrate new features based on business and user requirements.
Qualifications
Solid foundation in Btech Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and basic software engineering principles. Skills in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar). Knowledge of Back-End Web Development and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) for building and maintaining server-side applications. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks. Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote team environment.
