Position Overview
Louisiana Technology Group (LATG) is seeking a Software Developer to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of business applications in a secure federal environment.
The selected candidate will work closely with software developers, system administrators, and end users to implement application improvements, troubleshoot technical issues, support software releases, and maintain technical documentation. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated developer to gain hands-on experience supporting enterprise applications while expanding their technical and professional skills.
What You'll Do
You'll work with a team of developers and IT professionals to maintain and enhance enterprise applications used across a large organization. Day-to-day activities include developing software enhancements, troubleshooting technical issues, supporting testing and deployments, working with databases, and helping ensure applications remain reliable, secure, and responsive to customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain software applications and system enhancements. Troubleshoot application issues and implement fixes. Participate in software testing and quality assurance activities. Support software deployments and application releases. Work with databases and application data to support business requirements. Create and maintain technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED. Minimum one (1) year of software development or programming experience. Familiarity with software development principles and programming concepts. Familiarity with relational databases and SQL. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
