Description
In this role, you will improve GNSS & positioning capabilities that power navigation, workouts, and many other applications on iPhone and other products. For these improvements, you will be responsible for the full cycle of research, design, develop, debug, and support. Your contributions will span all the components necessary to ensure responsive and reliable positioning in all environments, from server data delivery to on-device estimation.","responsibilities":"Improve accuracy & reliability of GNSS position estimation in all environments
Develop GNSS aiding and corrections data
Develop cloud systems for efficient network delivery of GNSS aiding data
Own monitoring and alerting systems to ensure quality and availability of GNSS aiding data
Manage technical relationships with external data vendors and partners
Develop and debug software running on hundreds of millions of devices
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of state estimation techniques, such as Kalman filtering
Experience using AI within the engineering process.
Experience with GNSS measurements from challenged environments such as mobile devices, indoors, or in urban canyons
Software development experience for cloud services
Minimum Qualifications
BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Geomatics, or other engineering discipline
Software development experience in C++
Knowledge of statistics & random processes, and experience applying them to sensor data…
