Peerless Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain complex, high-performance software systems. The ideal candidate will bring extensive systems programming experience, strong Linux expertise, and a background in distributed, containerized applications. This role requires hands-on software development, architectural contributions, and collaboration across modern software engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain complex software systems using Rust or similar systems programming languages. Develop and optimize software for Linux-based environments, including system-level applications and performance troubleshooting. Build and manage distributed, containerized microservices and applications. Implement messaging systems, APIs, networking solutions, and event-driven architectures. Design and maintain relational databases, data models, and software integrations. Optimize software performance, memory usage, and resource utilization in constrained environments. Apply modern software development practices, including Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code reviews. Contribute to software architecture, technical design decisions, and secure development practices. Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve software quality, productivity, and maintainability.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of professional software development experience delivering complex software systems. Strong proficiency in Rust or similar systems programming languages, including software architecture and design patterns. Extensive Linux experience, including multiple distributions, kernel configuration, system-level development, and troubleshooting. Experience developing and managing distributed, containerized microservices and applications.
