To be successful as a Software engineer, you should have experience with:
Maintain and create Java Spring boot micro services, write performance oriented efficient code. Will be required to write and maintain GitLab pipelines, you will be your devops engineer. To handle docker images creation and publishing for each micro service, so Kubernetes knowledge is must. Responsible to produce and consume messages to/from Kafka. To write JUnit and Cucumber for each feature you will be delivering along with the team. Will be required to write and manage Gradle scripts to build and publish artifacts.
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experience with reading and writing onto MongoDB from Microservices. OpenApi specification knowledge as that is used exchange API specs with consumers. Redhat openshift knowledge as that is a private cloud used for hosting services. Knowledge about AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, Gitlab.
