Backend Development Manager – .NET / Azure
Role Summary
The Backend Development Manager is responsible for leading the design, development, and delivery of scalable backend platforms using .NET, Azure, and modern API architectures.
This role combines hands-on technical leadership, team management, and delivery ownership, ensuring high-quality, secure, and performant backend systems. You will drive architecture decisions, mentor engineering teams, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
Lead the design and architecture of scalable backend systems and microservices. Define standards for API design, security, performance, and scalability. Ensure adoption of best practices in C, .NET Core, asynchronous programming, and distributed systems. Drive architectural decisions for cloud-native solutions on Azure. Review and approve technical designs and critical implementations.
Backend Development Excellence
Oversee development of RESTful APIs and backend services. Ensure high-quality code through standards, design patterns, and code reviews. Guide teams in performance optimization, reliability, and maintainability. Ensure use of best practices such as dependency injection, middleware, and error handling.
Cloud & Platform Ownership (Azure)
