Service Engineer (Contract)

Summary:
This is a fully remote Release Management role. You'll be responsible for coordinating software releases, managing release notes and communications, supporting Patch Tuesday activities, and helping manage Mac and iOS Office release cycles. The team is looking for someone with 5+ years of release management experience, strong technical writing skills, and the ability to work across engineering and business stakeholders. This is a great opportunity to gain deeper exposure to release systems and Office ecosystem.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain release notes for external Office releases with accuracy and attention to detail Execute the pre-Patch Tuesday task list in a timely and thorough manner Oversee and coordinate Mac and iOS Office release processes Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications Implement system software and customize to client requirements Prepare detailed software specifications and test plans Code new programs to client specifications and create test data for testing Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation Provide quality assurance reviews throughout the software development lifecycle Perform post-implementation validation of software and resolve any bugs found during testing
