Job Summary
Wits Innovation Lab is looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Java and Selenium. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in automation testing, API testing, database testing, and Playwright, along with a strong understanding of software testing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Java. Perform functional, regression, and automation testing. Conduct API testing to validate application functionality and performance. Perform database testing and validate data using SQL queries. Work with Playwright for test automation. Identify, report, track, and verify software defects. Develop and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans. Collaborate with developers and other team members to ensure product quality. Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of testing processes.
Required Skills
3+ years of experience in QA Automation / Software Testing. Strong hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver. Good programming knowledge of Java. Practical experience in API Testing. Strong understanding of SQL and Database Testing. Familiarity with Playwright. Knowledge of automation frameworks and testing methodologies. Experience with bug tracking and defect management tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Good communication and collaboration abilities. Attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset. Ability to work independently and within a team.
