As a Principal Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Finance Technology Team, which is aligned to Corporate Technology Division, you provide expertise and engineering excellence as an integral part of an agile team to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.
Job responsibilities
Leads the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of the Interest Rate Risk platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security Architects cloud-native solutions using AWS services and modern DevOps practices Develops robust, high-performance applications, focusing on data processing, analytics, and integration with enterprise systems Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Risk, Finance, Data Engineering, and Infrastructure, to gather requirements and deliver solutions Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that are leveraged across teams and functions Establishes and enforce engineering best practices for code quality, testing, CI/CD, and documentation Mentors and guide engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies Influences leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams Architects and governs agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows (using enterprise-authorised tools within the work environment) to improve delivery speed, code quality, and operational outcomes at scale (e.g., AI-driven PR review assistance, test generation/maintenance, release readiness checks, incident triage and root-cause acceleration), while defining guardrails for validation, security, resiliency, and reuse across teams Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise…
