The Role
We’re looking for a senior React Native engineer to provide technical leadership and ongoing development support for our mobile application, built with React Native and Expo. This is a flexible contract engagement, potentially part-time, ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving challenging problems and working closely with a founder and a lean engineering team.
What You’ll Do
Be responsible for the technical health, architecture, and ongoing evolution of our React Native application. Develop features, troubleshoot bugs, and improve performance and reliability. Manage React Native and Expo upgrades, library compatibility, and build configuration. Oversee mobile release processes, including App Store and Google Play submissions. Use AI coding tools effectively to accelerate development while maintaining high engineering standards. Provide technical guidance and support to other engineers working on the application.
What We’re Looking For
Significant experience building and maintaining production React Native applications. Strong TypeScript and JavaScript skills. Hands-on experience with Expo, mobile build pipelines, and iOS/Android releases. Strong debugging skills and sound architectural judgment. Comfort working independently in a small startup environment and using AI coding tools as part of the development process.
Engagement: Independent contractor.
Pay: $230.00 per day
