Who we are looking for: Computational scientists and engineers with broad interests and experience applying deep technical experience to out of distribution scientific questions. Standalone implementation isn’t the goal, it is creatively spotting opportunities where extension, modification and combination of bleeding edge computational and technical approaches can unlock new capabilities to solve consequential problems. Strong candidates will combine software engineering fundamentals with a readiness to embrace agentic development tools/practices and have experience implementing machine learning models and workflows across multiple model classes or scientific domains. The Experience: You will collaborate with Flagship Origination Teams and fellow ML scientists/engineers to explore what is made possible by big leaps beyond the current capabilities of AI. You will begin by asking ‘What if’ across a variety of ideas and building a ‘future backwards’ case for what needs to be true for them to become a reality.
