Do you want to help build and operate the platform that powers serverless computing at global scale? Azure Functions is at the heart of Azure's serverless platform and enables developers to build scalable, event-driven applications without managing the underlying infrastructure!
We are looking for a Software Engineer 2 - CoreAI to join the Azure Functions Platform team. In this role, you will design, build, operate, and maintain core platform components and distributed systems that support the reliable execution of customer workloads across Azure. You will work on systems where reliability, performance, scalability, security, and diagnosability are fundamental design requirements.
This is an opportunity to solve deep distributed-systems and platform-engineering problems, improve the operational maturity of a rapidly growing cloud service, and help define how cloud-native and AI-powered applications are built on Azure.

Responsibilities
Design, implement, test, and ship platform capabilities and services for Azure Functions. Build and maintain large-scale distributed systems, with a focus on reliability, availability, scalability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
