As a Software Development Engineer at Micron you will configure, develop, test, maintain and support Micron and third party applications. You will create and analyze software specifications, and research, design, document, modify, test, and support software throughout the development life cycle. You can demonstrate the functional and technical skills necessary to switch between development technologies and merge them to deliver the best solution. You have a proven ability to create quality software and participate in quality improvement efforts. You will provide solutions that create business value while at the same time minimizing negative impact through defects, downtime, or performance degradation.
Responsibilities: Coordinate tool automation and host enhancements by partnering with automation developers and domain experts to deliver projects on schedule
Gather, prioritize, and document requirements for new automation systems and enhancements across 300mm fabs globally
Test and support manufacturing and automation software releases, including upgrades and resiliency improvements
Fix and resolve automation and software issues in a daily support role, including 24x7 on-call rotation
Maintain user documentation and provide regular project status reporting to management
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of enterprise software development experience.
Hands-on experience with object-oriented programming, software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
