About the role
We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to improve how people discover relevant jobs and complete applications. You will work on scoped product features, investigate bugs, and make changes that are easy to test and maintain.
What you will do
- Build and improve web features for browsing jobs, reviewing matches, and managing profile information.
- Investigate issues in application autofill and help make the extension work reliably across different forms.
- Work with APIs and data storage to keep information accurate across the product.
- Write tests for the behavior you change, review code, and document implementation decisions.
- Turn user feedback into clear bug reports and practical improvements.
What we are looking for
- Experience building a working software project through employment, coursework, open-source contributions, or personal work.
- Working knowledge of a programming language and the ability to explain how your code behaves.
- Familiarity with web fundamentals, including HTML, HTTP, and APIs.
- Ability to use Git, investigate unfamiliar code, and communicate when a task is blocked.
Helpful experience
Browser extensions, JavaScript or TypeScript, SQL, automated testing, or projects involving search and structured data.
