The Opportunity

At TASE, we offer an opportunity to take complete ownership of the CNC programming and machining process — from developing programs using CATIA V5 and validating toolpaths through VERICUT to deploying programs directly on CNC machines and proving out the components yourself.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you will work closely with advanced 5-axis and multi-axis CNC machining centres, translating complex aerospace designs into precision-manufactured components.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and optimise CNC machining programs using CATIA V5 Machining for complex 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis and multi-axis machining applications. Perform toolpath simulation, collision detection and program verification using VERICUT. Independently deploy developed NC programs on CNC machines and carry out machine-level prove-outs. Perform machine setup, tool setting, work offsets, program adjustments and machining trials to achieve first-time-right components. Develop machining strategies, cutting tool selections, fixtures, workholding arrangements and machining parameters. Work with aerospace materials such as Aluminium, Titanium, Inconel and other engineering alloys. Interpret complex engineering drawings, 3D models, GD&T and customer specifications. Troubleshoot machining issues and optimise cycle time, tool life, dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
