As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Banking, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job Responsibilities
Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine approaches to solve complex technical problems. Build secure, high-quality production code and scalable services, with strong focus on reliability, resiliency, and performance. Design and develop AI-powered capabilities, including AI agent-based workflows, and integrate ML models into production applications. Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assistants (Claude/Copilot) in day-to-day engineering activities (coding, refactoring, test generation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, testing, and secure coding practices. Develop and optimize cloud-native solutions on AWS, including backend services, data integrations, and platform components. Work with SQL databases to design schemas, write performant queries, and ensure data quality and consistency across systems. Produce architecture and design artifacts and ensure software implementations align with design constraints and enterprise standards. Collaborate across product, data, and engineering teams in agile delivery; participate in code reviews, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
