Key Responsibilities
Platform Software Development:
Operate a platform team roadmap that enforces compatibility, versioning, and safe rollout policies for shared services and SDKs. Drive team-level observability baselines (SLOs, error budgets) and resilience patterns; ensure adherence during releases. Coordinate cross-team incident response for platform issues, ensuring downstream consumer safety and clear remediation paths.
Software Development and Coding - Design, Testing, and Optimization:
Manages team and may contribute to the design and development of code and software solutions and identifies and analyzes requirements. Provides coaching and process execution for team to develop and guide new software features and enhancements following design specifications, ensuring accessibility, and to develop documents to clarify software design and code. Leads code reviews to drive improvements. Leads and reviews team to conduct debugging and troubleshooting to identify and fix software issues within a single component or functional area. Ensures team implements software testing (e.g., functional and non-functional), quality assurance processes, software error logging, monitoring, and observability for effective debugging. Leverages prior experience and analysis to conduct performance profiling and optimization of coding.
