Overview:
The Software Engineer owns the development and implementation of assigned features and components within our enterprise eCommerce platform, delivering scalable, high-quality solutions that support a seamless and engaging user experience. This role collaborates closely with UX design, solutions architect, senior engineers and stakeholders to execute against established architectural standards, best practices, and delivery commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
Full-Stack Engineering & Website Development
Design, develop, and modify company websites by owning assigned features and ensuring they meet functionality, performance, and quality expectations. Maintain and enhance website architecture by implementing solutions aligned with established architectural patterns. Develop server-side logic, manage database integrations, and ensure high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front end. Implement responsive design principles to ensure the website functions seamlessly across various devices and browsers. Integrate and manage content using content management systems (CMS), Digital Asset Management (DAM), Product Information Management (PIM), etc. Implement security measures to protect user data and prevent breaches, following established practices in alignment with security and compliance standards. Participate in peer code reviews to validate code changes for quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
Maintenance & Support
Regularly update and maintain the website to ensure it remains current, stable, and functional. Troubleshoot and resolve website issues while identifying root causes and preventing recurrence. Actively participate in change management practices in alignment with company policies. Provide technical support and knowledge sharing to internal stakeholders to support effective adoption of platform capabilities.
