The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities
Systems Analysis & Development ----------------------------------
System Design & Implementation: Utilize knowledge of applications development procedures, design patterns, and programming languages to define system enhancements, author technical design specifications, and implement robust solutions. Code & Architecture Analysis: Analyze, interpret, and maintain codebases; leverage scripting tools and automated workflows to streamline development and deployments. High-Availability Architecture: Contribute to the design and development of high-availability, fault-tolerant, and low-latency systems. API & Service Development: Design, build, and integrate RESTful JSON APIs and microservices.
Quality, Security & Support -------------------------------
Testing & Quality Assurance: Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Karma) for unit testing, capacity testing, and failure testing. Security & Vulnerability Management: Analyze applications to identify vulnerabilities and security issues; conduct comprehensive debugging and remediation. Production Support: Provide 3rd-line support to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
