About the role As a Software Engineer II on the Mobile Monetization team, you will contribute to the improvement of end-to-end monetization experiences on Crunchyroll’s Android and Apple apps. Our goal is to increase subscription and add-on revenue while preserving fan trust and product quality. You will take ownership of key features and improvements, ensuring high-quality code, performance, and user experience. You'll collaborate with Engineering, Product, Design, and Program Management to deliver scalable and reliable solutions that delight millions of anime fans. Contribute to the design and implementation of Android features that enhance our streaming apps across supported platforms. Collaborate on solutions that improve code maintainability, user experience, and overall app performance. Identify technical debt, performance bottlenecks, or reliability issues, and work with engineering leadership and your team to address them. Maintain high standards for code quality and engineering best practices across the Android stack. Participate in design discussions and code reviews, contributing to a strong team culture of technical excellence. Support operational excellence through sustainable on-call practices and a focus on reducing long-term toil. Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in Android development to ensure our apps remain competitive and modern.
