Role Overview
We are looking for Senior Software Engineers (SSEs) to join our Uniware Engineering team. The ideal candidate should have strong backend development fundamentals, hands-on experience with Java-based technologies, and the ability to build scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
Beyond core engineering skills, we are looking for engineers who actively leverage AI-powered tools and coding assistants to enhance their development workflows, improve code quality, accelerate debugging, and drive engineering productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Framework / Spring Boot, and Hibernate. Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices to support business-critical product functionalities. Work with relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring efficient data modelling, query optimization, and performance. Identify, debug, and resolve complex technical issues across backend services. Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-tested code, following engineering best practices. Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Take end-to-end ownership of development tasks, from requirement understanding to deployment and post-release support.
