We are seeking a Software Developer Sr Principal to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on the Medicare Secondary Payer Systems Contractor (MSPSC) contract. Your work will help protect the integrity of the Medicare Trust Fund by maintaining the systems that identify other insurance coverage that should pay primary to Medicare, so claims are paid correctly.
How You Will Make an Impact
Architecture and Technical Leadership
Define and own the technical architecture and design standards for the Coordination of Benefits & Recovery (COB&R) application, ensuring alignment with CMS tool and architecture guidelines. Lead the technical direction of large projects, providing oversight, design reviews, and code reviews for the development team. Evaluate and recommend technologies, frameworks, and patterns, and document architectural decisions and trade-offs. Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions. Drive modernization of legacy components toward Spring Boot microservices, RESTful APIs, and cloud-ready architectures. Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues and production incidents.
