Job Description
TSMC Technology Inc. is seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions that support business operations, engineering workflows, and technology systems. The successful candidate will contribute to software development projects, improve application performance, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and maintainable software.
In this role, the Software Development Engineer will translate technical requirements into practical software solutions, write clean and efficient code, participate in design discussions, and help maintain applications throughout the software development lifecycle. The position requires strong programming fundamentals, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
The ideal candidate is comfortable learning new technologies, investigating complex problems, and following established development, testing, documentation, and security practices.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and internal engineering tools. Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into functional software features. Write readable, maintainable, and efficient code using appropriate programming languages and frameworks. Develop application components, APIs, data-processing workflows, and software integrations as needed. Collaborate with software engineers, system administrators, product teams, and other technical stakeholders. Create and maintain automated tests to verify software functionality, reliability, and performance. Debug application errors, investigate production issues, and implement effective solutions.
