We are currently seeking a full-time Software Application Developer IV to join our IT team in Sterling, VA.
The Software Application Developer IV is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable web applications that support clinical workflows, patient engagement, and interoperability with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. This role will work across a hybrid technology stack and play a key role in modernizing our platform through cloud-based deployment strategies and continuous optimization of code, infrastructure, and delivery pipelines.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java and .NET development, along with hands-on DevOps experience, to help build scalable, secure, and innovative healthcare technology solutions. This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality applications that enhance operational efficiency, improve user experience, and support the organization's healthcare technology initiatives.
Design and build full-stack web applications using Java and .NET MVC frameworks. Integrate web applications with healthcare APIs and services (e.g., FHIR, HL7, EHR systems). Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, Business Analysts and Clinical informatics experts. Participate in architecture and design sessions, particularly around interoperability and system integrations. Ensure performance, security and data integrity in back-end processes. Collaborate on CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance using tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Azure DevOps, etc. Automate infrastructure and application deployment in cloud environment (Azure).
