We are currently seeking an experienced:
SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER II
JOB SUMMARY:
Designs, develops, and delivers features and components of moderate to high complexity for in-house software applications. Takes end-to-end ownership of feature areas within a system, driving them from design through implementation, testing, and deployment. Reviews code from peers and junior engineers, providing constructive feedback to elevate team quality and adherence to standards. Contributes to architectural discussions and proposes design improvements for existing systems within their area of ownership. Mentors and supports other software engineers in technical growth, coding standards, and best practices. Collaborates with the Software Tester/Analyst team, stakeholders, and other functional areas to define requirements and ensure quality outcomes. Troubleshoots and resolves complex software defects, performing root cause analysis and driving fixes to completion. Contributes to the improvement of the development environment, including CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and documentation. Works with database tools (SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), Redgate, etc.) and technologies to design and optimize data solutions within assigned systems. Utilizes and maintains proficiency in common team technologies and tools, including Angular/TypeScript, C/.NET, SQL Server/SSMS, Git, Azure, and the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence). Participates in sprint planning, estimation, and prioritization with increasing input on scope and approach. Identifies and leads efforts to refactor existing application components for security, scalability, and performance.
