Job Description
SemaphoreSoft is seeking a motivated Software Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that support business requirements and improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in programming, software engineering principles, application development, and technical troubleshooting.
In this role, you will collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to build reliable software solutions, enhance existing applications, and deliver maintainable code that meets functional, performance, and security requirements.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain software applications based on project requirements. Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code. Develop application features, APIs, and backend services. Integrate applications with databases and third-party systems. Test and debug software to identify and resolve technical issues. Maintain existing applications and improve performance and reliability. Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards. Collaborate with software engineers, QA professionals, and project stakeholders. Prepare technical documentation and assist with application deployments. Research relevant technologies and recommend practical improvements.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience. Experience with one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, C, or JavaScript. Understanding of object-oriented programming and software development principles. Familiarity with databases, SQL, REST APIs, and version control systems such as Git. Knowledge of software testing, debugging, and application maintenance. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to collaborate with a technical team and manage development tasks.
