As MISO’s Release Engineer II, you will play a key role in how software is built, tested, secured, and delivered by driving automation and continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle. You will build and operate the engineering platforms, secure delivery practices, and AI‑native capabilities that help product teams deliver high‑quality, reliable software. This role works hands‑on across CI/CD, DevSecOps, AI, cloud, containers, and infrastructure‑as‑code to reduce manual work, strengthen application security, and improve the developer experience. You will also advance MISO’s AI‑forward initiatives by managing GitHub, Copilot, and Claude configurations, enabling new AI features, and helping developers use AI tools effectively. Overall, you will support smooth, scalable engineering workflows that enhance reliability and accelerate innovation across the organization.
Your responsibilities as our Release Engineer II include:
Enable and advance responsible, agentic AI capabilities across MISO, using AI to enhance developer experience and support AI‑native engineering practices. Implement automated, reusable pipelines to build, test, review, secure, deploy, and release software products in partnership with development teams and with a strong focus on developer experience and continuous delivery Develop software and infrastructure‑as‑code to automate manual operational work, reduce engineering toil, and enable self‑service across technology platforms. Monitor and troubleshoot pipelines, deployments, environments, and engineering tools to identify root causes and deliver durable, long‑term fixes. Integrate secure development practices, application‑security controls, and standardized quality gates into workflows while collaborating with partner teams to deliver multi-discipline solutions that unlock new capabilities.
