Job Description
Sonora Software is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that support business operations and customer needs. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, an understanding of software architecture, and the ability to develop reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
In this role, you will work with developers, product stakeholders, and other technical team members to translate requirements into functional software. You will contribute to application design, feature development, debugging, testing, and deployment while helping maintain code quality, system performance, and security.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain software applications and services. Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code. Implement new features and improve existing application functionality. Develop and integrate APIs, databases, and external services. Troubleshoot software defects and resolve technical issues. Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions. Develop unit tests and integration tests to validate application behavior. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver project requirements. Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Maintain technical documentation and development records. Support software releases, updates, and production troubleshooting. Follow established security, quality, and development standards.
Requirements
Experience in software engineering or application development. Proficiency in a programming language such as Java, Python, C, or JavaScript. Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. Familiarity with databases, SQL, and API integration. Experience using Git or another version control system.
